A preview of WIN's vintage goods for sale at the Vintage Fair on Saturday Feb. 28th
WIN is excited to have a booth at this weekend's Vintage Fair at the Fernwood Community Centre. We have been collecting fantastic vintage clothing, accessories, and housewares for months. We will be there on Saturday, February 28th from 10am-5pm. The following is a little taste of what you will see at the show.
1960's Joy Stevens California floral blouse, size medium/large, and a groovy chain necklace with white geometric shapes.
A 1950's/60's handmade silk yellow and green floral short-sleeve blouse. Handmade 1960's cotton skirt with scarecrow motif. Paired with brown 1990's woven oxfords, size 8.5, made in Brazil. A large brown 3-pocket leather backpack and a Swiss-made LeBernco wind-up watch with a brown calfskin strap.
Early 1960's little black dress with unique asymmetrical pleats and a 1940's black velvet pillbox hat. Accessorized with Raphael black suede peep-toe pumps with brown snakeskin detail, a 1960's aurora borealis tassel necklace and a white beaded 1950's purse.
1970's Levis black velour bohemian dress with floral trim and lace-up bodice, Made in Montreal, size vintage 11 (approximately a modern size 6). Late 1940's/early 50's tan and brown fitted cowgirl leather jacket with floral details, size small/medium. Complimented by reddish-brown leather boots with pointed, woven toe, size 9, made in Brazil and a black fur felt 1960's Robert Hall pork pie hat. In the background is a large piece of cowboy motif forest green 1950's barkcloth.
1940's black lace blouse with velvet-covered buttons, size xs, and handmade skirt. It was likely made in 1930's from 1910's fabric, size xs. French porcelain miniatures clip-on earrings (comes with matching pendant, not shown)
Hobbs Victorian-style low heeled boot, made in Italy, size Euro 39 and 1920's grey felted wool English spats.
We are also bringing vintage and collectible housewares to the fair, including a set of 4 powder blue melamine teacups, a coral pink and white Pyrex bowl with a gooseberry motif, a set of 2 1950's/60's linen tea towels with poodles making vegetable soup, a robin's egg blue and black ombre mid-century deco-style Beauceware Canada ceramic vase and much more.
