Volunteers are so important to us
It’s Volunteer Appreciation Week and we feel such gratitude for our hardworking and dedicated volunteers. When asked about the impact that they have on WIN, our Executive Director Clare Yazganoglu had this to say:
"Volunteers are essential to the rich tapestry that is WIN. By sharing their time, energy, talents and commitment with us, we are enriched and inspired by the wonderful connections that we develop with our volunteers and, as an organization, we are able to accomplish so much more. This has a deep impact on our program participants, our staff and the community as a whole."
Here are just a few snapshots of some of the volunteers that contribute to WIN.
WIN staff had a lot to share about the impact volunteers have. Here are some of their comments:
"Volunteers are the multiple helping hands that help WIN achieve day to day success...Volunteers bring a sense of friendship and community to our busy days that we'd otherwise miss in our lives! They are simply the best for helping WIN be successful and amazing. I love them!"
"They remind me I am part of something good"
"Volunteers bring so much variety to WIN. Without them we could not meet the weekly targets that are so important to the community at large-and volunteers are just a lot of fun!"
"Volunteers are at the heart of WIN as they are an integral part of our organization. Volunteers have left an impact on me with their dedication, friendliness and eagerness always to help"
"They contribute to the efficiency of production and add an extra element of good cheer and friendliness"
"Their dedication, drive and enthusiasm is greatly appreciated"
"I have enormous gratitude for all the volunteers at WIN. Each year they collectively work thousands of hours in our stores, warehouses and the office. Those hours are truly a gift-a very generous one. Volunteers are integral and also make each day interesting. We have volunteers of all ages, from a variety of backgrounds. They make us laugh, entertain us with their stories and share their knowledge."
Thank you to all of you who volunteer!
