Donation of Money

WIN provides women with the opportunity to pursue life changing opportunities through our programs.  We support women throughout their journey from crisis to financial self sufficiency and wellness, and your monetary donations have a significant impact on their lives. WIN does not use government funding, which means that we rely entirely on the support of you and the community to continue our work. For more information on our programs, click here.
Here is what some recent Self-Sufficiency Program recipients have said about the money they received:

“Support from your organization is allowing me to realize my vision and help me build a stream of income for myself and my son. It is one thing to have dreams but feeling supported and accountable to the generosity of donors in actualizing those dreams is immeasurable. I am very grateful to the people from WIN in supporting me on my journey to financial self sufficiency.”

“I am a single mom with a three year old daughter; it is important to me to be self-sufficient and to provide a good life for my daughter and myself. Your gift to me made the difference between following my dream or giving up because of lack of funds. It will really make the difference.”

Here are some of the ways your donations make a difference:

  • $80 - Provides a woman with a bus pass for one month 
  • $150 - Provides a woman with the fees necessary to apply to 2 post secondary institutions or the books for one course
  • $300 - Provides a woman with a bike to commute to work or school
  • $500 - Provides tuition for one course or suppies that are useful for her to move forward with her business
  • $2500 - Provides a woman with the tuition to pursue post secondary education on a part time basis for a full year

  • Online by using Paypal
  • Send a cheque to 785 Pandora Avenue, Victoria, BC, V8W1N9 made out to Victoria Women In Need Community Cooperative
  • Drop by one of our three resale shops to donate by cash, cheque, Debit Card, or Credit Card
